Please be on the lookout for further information. We have tried to pick fundraisers that allow you to reach out to others instead of relying on your own wallets.
Yard Sale
The Academy Yard Sale is this weekend, November 7th, from 7 am - 3 pm. We appreciate all the help we can get, but also, please spread the word to your yard sale-shopping friends to come support The Academy and get some great deals! The location is 13631 SW 102 Avenue.
Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough
These make the most delicious cookies you have ever tasted. You should have received your order form last week. In order to ensure delivery for the holidays, the orders must be returned by November 9th. If you did not receive a packet, or need another, extras are in the school office.
Gold Party
Start looking in your jewelry boxes and drawers for your old or broken jewelry. We are going to have a “Gold Party”, where you can donate all or a portion of the money you receive from turning in your unwanted gold. This is a great way to help the school without feeling a dent in your wallet!! We will be hosting the party in November or December, date TBA soon.
Box Tops
Please collect and save all of your box tops. For an updated list of all participating products, go to www.boxtops4education.com. Stay tuned for more information regarding class contests.
RECYCLING FUNDRAISERS:
Capri-Sun/Terracycle
If you buy Capri-Sun juice drinks, please send in the used pouches. There is a recycling program where we can raise money while also teaching our children about the importance of recycling.
Eco Fundraiser
There’s nothing to buy. We are simply asking you to protect the environment by donating your used cellular phone(s), ink jet cartridge(s), laptop/notebook computer(s), iPod(s), digital camera(s) and digital video camera(s). Your used item(s) will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and sold. 100% of the proceeds will help fund The Academy.
Candy Sales
We have had several parents notify us that they would be able to sell candy in their offices. The Linkin family is donating more candy (Thank you Rob and Stacey) and it will be available around Thanksgiving.
Car Wash
We will be hosting a car wash in the coming month or two. You will be able to pre-sell tickets to your friends, families and coworkers, as well as raise additional funds the day of the event. Scratch Off Cards This is an EASY way to raise THOUSANDS of dollars. You ask people to “scratch-off” a small amount to donate (from .50¢ to $3.00) and in exchange they will receive a sheet of coupons valued at $150.00.
Babysitting Nights
Teachers will be volunteering their time so that you can have a night out without kids. Whether you are looking for a date night, a night out with friends, a shopping night, or just some quiet time, babysitting night will be your answer!
